Company registration

Start your Thai company on the right footing

Registration done properly the first time, with the structure, licences and filings your business actually needs.

What we handle

Setting up a company involves the Department of Business Development, the Revenue Department, the bank and often a licensing office. We prepare and file everything and explain each document before you sign it.

  • Name reservation and memorandum of association
  • Registration of the Thai limited company
  • Corporate tax ID and VAT registration
  • Company seal, share register, shareholder agreements
  • Documents for opening the company bank account
  • English translations of registration documents

Licences for your trade

Opening a restaurant, bar or shop in Hua Hin? We apply for the licences that go with it, including food, alcohol, tobacco and entertainment licences, and track their renewal dates.

Changes after registration

We register new addresses, directors and shareholders, share transfers and capital increases, and keep the paperwork consistent so your next visa or work permit renewal goes smoothly.

Foreign ownership, explained honestly

Thai law limits foreign ownership in many types of business. We explain the options that apply to you, and our partner lawyers at Premier Legal Services advise where a structure needs a legal opinion.

Plan the company, work permit and visa together

If you will work in your own company, the capital, staffing and paperwork need to line up from day one. We plan all three at once.

FAQ

Common questions

If yours isn’t here, ask us. There is no charge for a first conversation.

How long does it take to register a company?

Once the documents are signed, registration itself is quick. The full process, including tax and VAT registration and the bank account, normally takes a few weeks. We give you a timeline at the start.

Can a foreigner own a Thai company?

It depends on the business. Many activities are restricted for foreign owners under the Foreign Business Act, while others are open or can be approved. We explain what applies before you commit.

Do you also do the accounts afterwards?

Yes. Most company clients keep us on for monthly bookkeeping, tax filings and the annual accounts.

I already have a company. Can you take it over?

Yes. We take over the accounting and corporate filings, check everything is up to date and fix anything that has slipped.
